Piroflox   20 percent Concentrated Oral Solution is approved for the treatment of infectious disorders of poultry (broiler, replacement chick, laying hen, breeding hen) caused by Gram negative, Gram positive germs, and mycoplasmas, such as Escherichia coli, Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella multocida, Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus spp., and Staphylococcus spp

Due to its rapid absorption and high plasma concentration, Piroflox ^® 20% Concentrated Oral Solution  is indicated for the treatment of infectious diseases in birds  (broiler chickens, replacement chicks, laying hens, breeder hens) caused  by Gram-negative and Gram-positive germs and mycoplasmas, for example: Escherichia  coli, Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella multocida, Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus spp.,  Streptococcus spp., Corynebacterium spp., Pseudomona aeruginosa and Mycoplasma spp.

Route of administration:

Oral, in drinking water.

Dose:

Administer 10 mg/kg of body weight (1 mL of Piroflox ^® 20% Concentrated Oral Solution  for every 20 kg of weight)

Treatment forms:

Treatment by continuous administration: Dilute the necessary volume of Piroflox ^® 20%  Oral Solution in the appropriate volume of drinking water and continuously offer the  medicated water to the birds for the necessary time.

Treatment by weight: 1) Calculate the amount of Piroflox ^® 20% Concentrated Oral Solution  needed for the total kilos of birds to be treated; 2) Calculate the amount of water  consumed daily by the birds to be treated; 3) Dilute the entire volume of medication  in 1/4 of the volume of drinking water consumed daily by the batch; 4) Wait for  the animals to consume all the medicated water;  5) During the rest of the day, administer unmedicated water.

Withdrawal period:

Eggs from treated birds may not be used for human consumption until  6 days after the last treatment. Meat from treated birds  must wait 5 days after the last administration.
