Combination of volatile oils with antiseptic, antispasmodic, sedative, reducing pulmonary edema and decongestant properties of the respiratory system. Eucalyptol or cineol has antiseptic and antifermentative properties due to the ozone it releases, which is rapidly eliminated by the bronchopulmonary mucosa. Camphor (essence of Laurus camphora) is rapidly absorbed, helps respiratory movements and stimulates heart contraction, it is a great antispasmodic and sedative. Sulfuric ether has sedative and antispasmodic properties, as well as being a stimulant in cases of syncope, collapse, and asystole. Iodoform (triodinated methane) is suitable for treating cases of bronchitis, it also has analgesic properties when applied in conjunction with the components of this formula by intratracheal application.
